Our June donation event netted a whole lot of goodies for Rainbow Collective of WNY! Items collected ranged from dental, hair care and feminine hygiene products to non-perishable foods to cleaning supplies.
According to Holly Park, Founder and President of Rainbow Collective of WNY, “The generosity of Do Something! Southtowns will have a lasting impact on Rainbow Collective and the people we serve. These donations of everyday essentials will help individuals and families who may be feeling financially stretched, but they are also a reminder that we live in a community where people show up for one another with kindness, compassion, and action.”
Based in Hamburg, Rainbow Collective of WNY is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and maintaining the well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
“At a time when many LGBTQ+ individuals, especially our trans family, are facing increased challenges, creating spaces where people feel safe and cared for has never been more important. Something as simple as having access to everyday essentials can make a huge difference. We are incredibly grateful to Do Something! Southtowns for believing in our mission. Your generosity is helping us build more than a pantry, it is helping us build a community where people know they are supported, and that nobody has to face life’s challenges alone,” states Park.
