Community Action

We all have needs. We all need help sometimes. We all can do something to help others in need.

Part of our mission is to strengthen our community by engaging in positive collective action. We hold various events and activities aimed at assisting others in the region.

For donation events: Items can be dropped off at the Buffalo and Main Streets Circle in Hamburg on Saturdays between 11am-12pm. *No cash or gift cards accepted.

Calendar:

Every Saturday, 11am-12pm at the Circle: Donation collection for Peas and Love Food Pantry, which serves those in need with no questions asked. As some recipients are without kitchens; microwaveable, pre-packaged or foods that do not require cooking are preferred.

9/5/26 Donation collection of school materials for students in need. Full lists can be found at the links below, but included items are crayons, glue sticks, washable markers, hand sanitizer, tissues, high lighters, pink erasers, #2 pencils, binders, dividers, loose leaf paper and spiral notebooks.

8/22/26 Donation collection for Sparks of Hope Recovery Support Center, a ministry of Hamburg United Methodist Church and the Southtowns faith community. They put faith into action by supporting individuals and families struggling with the disease of addiction by offering friendship, fellowship, and faith to individuals and families in need. Items requested are bread, cereal, canned chicken, canned tuna, canned fruit, jelly, mac & cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, canned ravioli or spaghetti, peanut butter, canned soup, canned vegetables, snacks, produce, and cans of coffee. For more information see sparksofhopewny.org
