I’ve always been active politically, if you consider voting as being politically active.
I have voted for democrats and republicans, even an independent or two.
This country provided such opportunities to make a good life for myself and my family. It provided great educational opportunities, people, and communities that cared about each other.
Despite its flaws, we have typically elected good and competent people.
We are never going to all agree on every policy, spending program, or judicial judgment. BUT THIS IS WHY WE VOTE EVERY YEAR.
The current president flaunts his corruption, illegal actions, and puts in place people with no qualifications for their positions, except for how they look on TV.
Protesting is a way to directly express my feelings, rather than relying on The News, influencers, or pollsters to convey how I feel. It is a small price to pay to try to ensure my children and grandchildren will have the freedoms and opportunities growing up in this land I love.
When millions of us show up to protest, there’s no way they can lie about how the majority of Americans support what he is doing. Protesting is a right we best protect by using it!
